Skill Icons

Before I explain Skill Icons, let's tackle first the battle menu.

1.) Battle Menu

1.) About AP ICON: is the amount you need to spent for using skills, for example, one skill requires 3 AP, so it's [ 4 AP minus   3 AP equals 1 AP ] (WARNING: unused AP are not carried over on the next turn)

2.) Description: this shows the SKILL SPEED EXECUTION, ATTRIBUTE, DAMAGE LEVEL and NUMBER OF HITS. just highlight the skill and press Select.

3.) Menu: pressing TRIANGLE opens up an option menu for ITEM, ESCAPE and END TURN. (TIPS: using Items doesn't consume AP but can only be used ONCE per turn.)

4.) BOOST AP: if you notice the red gems/crystals appearing when you're hitting an enemy, those are what you need to power up your BOOST AP. Using BOOST AP replenish your AP plus an EXTRA depending on your FRONTIER LV. Pressing Square Activates an available BOOST AP CRYSTAL. (WARNING: using BOOST AP OVERRIDES remaining or unused AP.)

(WARNING 2: Available BOOST AP disappears after battle but carries over on CHAIN BATTLE.)

5.) Fighting Mood / Will: This indicates how STRONG you or your ENEMY is.

1. Red: Adds 2 or more AP depending on Frontier Lv.
2. Orange: Adds 1 or more AP depending on Frontier Lv.
3. Yellow: Normal AP count depending on Advantage. (Player/Enemy Advantage.)
4. Green: minus 1 AP and probably lower hit and dodge too. Confirm Please
5. Blue: much lower AP and probably much lower hit and dodge too?
6. Black: a very bad situation to be with.

As for the Fighting Mood / Will Icon of the Enemy, it indicates their DAMAGE, RED color means full power

6.) Skill Icon: having basic knowledge why these skill icons is colored RED or BLUE brings a lot of advantage fighting strong enemy boss.

1. RED SKILL ICON: it means it increases your FIGHTING MOOD / WILL while performing a skill (look at your Smiley Icon, if it is JUMPING, it means it adds FIGHTING MOOD / WILL on your CHARACTER


2. BLUE SKILL ICON: it means it lowers the FIGHTING WILL of the TARGET MONSTER (look at your TARGET MONSTER’s Smiley Icon, if it is DROPPING or FALLING, it means it lessens the FIGHTING MOOD / WILL of your TARGET MONSTER

Warning!!!!

Not all Red and Blue icons had the same effects. There are some powerful RED ICON skills that instead of increasing your FIGHTING WILL, it does the OPPOSITE. That is why always pay attention on how your SMILEY ICON reacts when HIGHLIGHTING a certain skill. Same as some of the BLUE ICON, SOME of the powerful BLUE ICON skills increases your TARGET MONSTER’s FIGHTING MOOD / WILL so be careful with your actions especially on boss fights.
